The Chelsea Gardener is much, much more than just a garden centre. Founded in 1984 on the site of the old Brompton Hospital, it has developed a cult reputation as an oasis of green in the centre of Chelsea.
Chelsea still retains much of its village character and has long been a centre for artists and designers, with the Kings Road setting the trend in fashion since the 1960s.
Our philosophy at The Chelsea Gardener is that gardens are more than just back yards and, when properly planned and designed, can be just as important as any other room in the house. In just the same way as each of us lavishes time and investment on making our house or flat into a comfortable and elegant place to live, your garden, patio, terrace or even balcony, however small, can and should be part of that environment and its setting.
In summer, the garden or terrace can provide that extra room to relax in, to entertain your friends, or just to enjoy a barbecue with the kids. Throughout the year, the garden, and views of it from inside the house, can be an inspiration, to complement the colours and décor of your house and help relax your mood.

Every member of staff at The Chelsea Gardener is trained in the importance of helping you to find what you need for your garden, conservatory or patio. We have staff experienced in plant knowledge and care as well as garden design. Call in or contact us and we will do our best to add an extra something to your house or garden.
